To lose weight her intake should be no more than 1280 calories per day. The same size woman in her early 20's can eat more, 1660 calories per day for maintaining and 1328 calories per day for weight loss. What Types Of Food Do I Have To Eat

When your diet is based on calories per day for your individual body, you can eat any type of food you want. It is the number of total calories that makes the difference. Lowering the number of calories you take in, you will be able to eat foods that other diets have you cut out. Just be sure to know how many calories are in each serving size so you can be sure to stay within your limits. If you decide to increase your activity level, you can recalculate and add on more calories as needed. The key is to lessen the amount of food you eat, not take away all your favorite dishes and desserts to torture you.

Going on the diet is the easy part. It is sticking to it that can get rough. The key to staying on your diet is to know how much you usually eat per day and how much you should be eating to lose weight. You will find that your body will still be hungry and it will be harder to stay on the diet. Dropping 200 to 400 calories per week will allow your stomach and brain to adjust over time.
